CHARLES CONDER | England

Born in England, Charles briefly emigrated to Australia as a teen to work as a Government land surveyor before becoming an artist. Taking up with the likes of Tom Roberts and Arthur Streeton, the trio would travel to artist's camps and towns around Melbourne to paint en plein air, becoming central figures of the Heidelberg School movement.
