The pin depicts a yellow-rumped thornbill and its design is based on a 1949 Gould League badge Bridget found in an op shop when she first arrived in Australia back in 2006.

This is a hard enamel lapel pin.

Measures 3.5cm wide and 2cm tall. Fixes with a butterfly clasp at back.

Bridget Farmer lives in the small town of Guildford north of Ballarat. She studied jewellery in Scotland before discovering printmaking shortly after she arrived in Australia in 2006. She is inspired by the natural world on her doorstep with birds being a particular obsession.
