A joyful, screen-free activity for ages 3 and up. Inspired by the award winning picture book I am a Magpie I am a Currawong, this engaging card game is a delightful way to help children learn to identify Australian birds and bird families.

There is a lot of scope to make up play with these cards. Other more traditional games that can be played include Snap, Memory, or Go Birding! (Go Fish!)

Each bird is illustrated using drypoint etching and hand-coloured watercolour, making every card a mini artwork.

Bridget Farmer lives in the small town of Guildford north of Ballarat. She studied jewellery in Scotland before discovering printmaking shortly after she arrived in Australia in 2006. She is inspired by the natural world on her doorstep with birds being a particular obsession.
